It's apparent that something is wonky in the old manual speed controller as it loses power on certain "pads" of the speed controller. I cleaned all the contact points, but it still gets glitchy over 20% throttle. I figured I could look around for an older ESC that I could pop in this one and get it running again. I had planed on giving this to my youngest as his first starter R/C, but I'm remembering all the fun I had with this and I'm half tempted to get it running and put it in my fleet. :-) My poor son will never get an R/C I won't usurp!

Anyway, if someone's got an old ESC sitting around collecting dust, let me know, I'm not looking to put a lot into this, but if you've got one and it's functioning, let me know!

The guy barely made it out with his wife, kids and some (but not all) of their pets. Now, other than their cars and the clothes on their backs they have nothing.

Double check your charge settings ESPECIALLY if you charge different batteries at different rates!

NEVER leave your batteries unattended.

Try not to charge inside, but if you do, have some sort of system in place. Before I read this I had started to lax on my lipo safety, just charging them in my home in a metal pot near a window. No longer will I be doing this. On page 3 of this post, there's a great system with a concrete finishing block and bags of sand that I will be implementing today. I hope others that are doing less than "safe" charging practices will do the same.

No one should have to go through what this guy is right now.

I eas going to use them as a center diff thogh and front rear. to make shure. the center diff uses the same cup right.

I just want to know if there aluminum is soft like integy.
