Well based on last years entires, didn't MT and Novice electric have the smallest amount of entries? The Novice electric guys and gals would still be able to enter in one of the other electric classes and get just as much racing in!

Is 1/8 Electric gonna be open to truggy and buggy or just buggy? This is one of the classes that could have alot of people or just a few but I have a feeling its gonna have a good turnout! yeah.gif

This is true, but how many novice entries did we have last year, 5 or so?

I say stock. It's easy enough for the mod guys to get a $20 stock motor (if they don't already have one laying around)... With this class, the more of them on the track at once, the better!

I like the chaos of a full CORR class! We should throw the competition yellow in the middle of each main too - just like the real thing. yeah.gif

In all reality, 2 mod, 4 mod, and mod truck have soft turnouts as well. It is rare to see anything more than one heat of each.

The trouble is, CORR truck and 1/8th electric are new classes and need room.

While Novice is a great class to have, it is not offered at NCT races and the past two years have seen less than 3 drivers each year. Of those years, some of the folks running in Novice drive well enough to be in the actual class.

MT still has demand. Take a look at the numbers of monster trucks at the NCT's this year.

Here are my thoughts:
- Limit the monster truck entries to 1 heat/main worth of entries. Maybe reduce the main time and offer the entry fee at a reduced amount as a result.
- Eliminate novice and bump those folks into the normal class.
- Limit all electrics to 1 heat/main worth of entries.
- CORR Run em all together. Stock or mod, not both.

I am not sure how many racers would make a main, but I assume it would be around 12 or so.

2008
Novice - 3 racers
MT - 9 racers

2007
Novice - 1 to 4
MT - ?

2009 NCT - Monster Truck Entries
Burlington - 5
Hank - 14
Wenatchee - 12

Is it a time concern for cutting classes, just a thought corr in my opinion should be seperate stock and mod, If its run together it takes the fun out of it, lets not ruin yet another class by making it almost a requiment to run more expensive gear. Stock corr is a class thats levels the field. biggrin.gif If we limit all electrics to 1 heat and a main do we offer that at a reduced entry fee also. We may just limit and eliminate so much that many may just not enter at all, for some the world does not revolve around 1/8 scale and nitro, true that is the biggest class right now but lets not leave everyone else out of the fun. Seems to be a trend in the area...sad

I think the Hank this year had 16 to 18 drivers in mod truck, that's not a bad turn out.
